The core of a project is understanding what it takes to build the work. Core's past project experience is the major characteristic establishing its unique ability to proactively develop solutions in order to positively impact profitability on your projects; whether in the preliminary design phase or as things are progressing into the construction phase.
Commercial, Town Center, Residential and Mixed Use Communities

Core experiences include planning, engineering and buidling several mixed use communities through Virginia and Maryland.  Through value engineering several key components, we provided clients with significant savings and ensured these projects were built within the budget constraints.  Challenges were encountered; but, through an  organized transfer of communication and being proactive in solving these challenges, we were able to help manage the engineering and construction processes leading to success by the Contractors, Developers and eventually the end users. Recent experiences include: Crown Farm in Gaithersburg Maryland, Fort Belvior Family Housing, Reston Metro Commercial Complex, The Haven at Fotuna Plaza in Dumfries and River Oaks in Woodbridge VA.

Park and Recreation

Experience in developing Private Public Ventures to aquire appropriate funding for engineering, right of way acquisition and  construction.  Venturing into the PPEA & PPTA environment proved to be challenging yet in the end very successful.  Successful projects that Core was involved with included Patriot Park, Prince William Soccer Inc Complex - Howison Park, and Fairfax County Synthetic Turf Fields.

Highlighted Parks & Recreation Project
Potomac Shores Ali Krieger Park

Core worked with the Owner at Potomac Shores to develop a park that would serve the local Prince William County Residents and the neighboring Saint John Paul The Great Catholic High School in the best manner. This Park includes 7 Fields, Concessions Building, Parking Areas, Irrigation and LED Lighting.  There will be a softball field, 2 Synthetic Turf Fields, Competition Fields and Auxiliary fields.   In total there will be 7 fields for teams, players and residents to enjoy.  This Park is named Potomac Shores Ali Krieger Park in honor of local Soccer Player, Ali Krieger.

Heavy Highway

Core principals have a foundation based on the heavy civil environment contracting and building various major road systems for VDOT, MDOT and the District of Columbia.  Understanding what it takes to deliver appropriate Profer requirements and the "ins and outs" of municipality, state and federal requirements during the approval process is key in successfully budgeting and building work in the Washington DC metropolitan market.  Whether building a stand alone transportation improvement project or simply building a profer required for your development, understanding the public improvement process is key and fundamental in understanding the overall development cost.

Earthwork and Material Brokerage

Most projects in the DC corridor rely on material management both on and off site.  Undertstanding how to best "tie" the work can mean the differnece of hundreds of thousands of dollars and eventually the success or failure of a given project.  Through being fully integrated with the site contracting community, Core has established relationships to expedite projects that involve excess or a shortage of mateial.
